Superfoods You Actually Need In Your Diet

Everyone is always talking about all these different superfoods.. chia seeds, hemp seeds, aci, cacao, macha, gogi, coconut oil and so many more. Today I'm going to cut the excess information and share with you what I use in my diet and why you should be using these as well!

Chia Seeds: These little seeds pack a hugeee punch. These seeds help a lot with digestion because they are full of fiber and other nutrients. They also can soak up water which really helps with hydration.

Coconut Oil: I'm sure you've heard a lot about coconut oil being such a great tool in the kitchen as well as when it's used as beauty products. It's great to cook with as well as moisturize your skin with. It's amazing for your immune system because it's antibacterial and full of antioxidants.

Cacao: Cacao is chocolate in it's richest, more pure form. It doesn't have any added cream or sugar, and is very raw. It's full of antioxidants and actually a lot of vitamin C in it!

Let me know what superfoods you like!

Hiking At Hocking Hills

Something that Tyler and I love to do together is go hiking and exploring different parts of nature. On Saturday we went to Hocking Hills and ended up hiking.. IN THE ICE. We weren't really expecting for the trails to be super icy because it's been really warm here, however it was slick as heck! Good thing we wore our hiking boots and are both always up for adventure. I can't wait to go back and hike again in the spring when everything is dry.

What did you do this weekend?!

Happy Monday! | Weekend Update

Hi loves! I hope you had a lovely Valentines weekend. What did you do for V Day!? On Friday I went to a dance class taught by the one & only DEREK HOUGH... WHAT. He came to OSU to teach a dance class and oh my was it amazing! My roommate and I went early to make sure we got spots right up front. It was a great time and he is such a down to earth guy.

Saturday was date day for Tyler and I for Valentines Day. We started the day out at the mall doing a little bit of shopping. Then we ended up eating Mexican for dinner at Bakersfield. Later that night we went out with friends and ended the night at Hounddogs Pizza, the best pizza in Columbus!

Sunday was a bit of a chill day. I worked on homework and caught up on life. As I'm currently writing this we are snowed in watching HGTV, sipping on wine, and looking up hotels for our next adventure.

I hope you had a lovely weekend!

Hask Coconut Oil Line Review

My favorite natural beauty oil? Coconut oil. I keep a jar of it in my medicine cabinet and I'm always on the hunt for products with coconut oil in it. I recently picked up the whole like of Coconut Oil from HASK and I'm OBSESSED.

Nourishing Shampoo & Conditioner

Hair Oil

Nourishing Deep Conditioner

I had never tried out any hair products from HASK before, but when I saw the line I was rather impressed. They have a couple different oil infused line: coconut, argan, monoi, & macadamia. The coconut oil smells amazing and left my hair feeling moisturized and shiny! My favorite thing about the whole line is that it's affordable with high end ingredients and technology. The next time you're looking for new hair care, I would recommend checking out the coconut oil line!

Winter Skincare Routine

Today we're talking about skincare. I have dry, acne prone skin that absolutely loves products that are organic, clean & moisturizing. Today I'm sharing with you my current winter skincare routine!

As I said, I have rather dry skin so I definitely need a hydrating skincare routine, especially in the winter when the air is cold and the rooms are dry. I first start out by using my Ocean Mineral Cleanser. This cleanser is different then what I usually use because it's a gel consistency and doesn't foam up. I like it because it helps my face feel clean but not striped of moisture. I then move on and use my LUSH Ocean Salt Scrub. This product is amazing. It has so many great oils that are moisturizing and also has the sea salt I need to exfoliate the dead skin off. Pro Tip: This scrub has a splash of vodka in it so it totally tastes like a margarita ;)

2-3 times a week I use a mask and I've been loving Lush's Mask of Magnaminty. It dries up any acne without over drying my face. It's also a great product to use to try to get rid of any dark spots.

Once my face is dry, I hydrate my undereyes using my Burts Bees Eye Cream which is really hydrating. The final step is a rich moisturizer and I love this one from Simple.

I hope you enjoyed learning about my winter skincare routine. Leave your favorite products in the comments!

Safe & Stress Free Online Shopping With Sudo

I feel like the days of going to the mall to pick up a new dress or your favorite mascara are long gone. It's so much easier and enjoyable to be able to shop from the comfort of your own home with a glass of coffee or wine. Then just a few days later you'll get a knock on the door from the UPS man, a.k.a. the nicest man in your life, with a present with your name on it. I feel so empowered and relaxed being able to find new clothes online. The only concern is, how safe is our personal information on the sites we're shopping on?!

I recently downloaded an app called Sudo and it has made my online shopping experience so much better! By using this app I feel in control of what I'm buying and the information I'm using to purchase. This past weekend I purchased three different red lipsticks because I could not decide which shade would look best on my skin tone and I wanted to find the perfect one for Valentine's Day! Sudo made buying the lipsticks so much easier and stress free! I got to use my alternative email address, phone number, and credit card with Sudo to order the lipsticks without even having to leave my house!

Sudo not only has a safe communication with customizable phone numbers and email, but a secure browser, and SudoPay that protects you from credit card and identity theft. The app and its functions are extremely user friendly, allowing for emails, phone calls and texts to go directly to the app, rather than your phone itself.  If you are dealing with online shopping or dating, you know your information is safe with SUDO!

Get the Sudo app here so you can shop stress free with me!
