Becoming A Minimalist

As I'm getting older I'm starting to realize what life is really about. It's not about how many lip glosses you have or the number of shoes in your closet; it is more about the experiences you live and the things that mean something to you. I am planning to move this fall and if we're being honest: I have too much stuff. There is no way I'm going to be moving all of this crap so I need to deal with it now. So much makeup I don't use, too many bottles of lotions & perfume I will never go through, and don't even get me started on my closet. This has happened because I have a shopping problem and also because I have been sent a lot of things to review over the years. I am so thankful for everything I have, but I just have too much. So many things I own get neglected and I really want to become more of a minimalist.
My goal is to use up a lot of the makeup and skincare products I have and get rid of the things I will never use. As for my closet, I plan to donate any pieces I do not see myself getting use out of in my near future. I plan to document my progress and would love to hear your thoughts on this!
Do you have any tips on how to become a minimalist?!
Let me know in the comments!

  1. Ah I love this! And my answer to your question?? YES!! I write about minimalism and have lots of things to point you to. For starters-- a capsule wardrobe! Also, it's important to figure out what aspects of your life you'd like to simplify... and tackle them one by one.
Here are a few recent posts I've written about this. So excited for you friend!

    Good luck!

  2. Downsizing can be hard to do but is so refreshing afterwards.

P.S. My blog has moved to

  3. Good luck clearing everything out! I am currently doing a 30 day minimalism challenge if you want to check it out! I posted it about it on Saturday!

  4. I'm so excited to see your progress as you go forward & hopefully I'll be motivated by you! I know I have too much "junk" and my life would be so much lighter without it!
