5 Things You Didn't Know About Honey

You have a jar of honey sitting in your cabinet, right? Well there's so much more honey can do other then sweeten up your tea or toast! Today we're going to talk about 5 of the great things honey can do to help you in your every day life.

1. Energize your workouts. Skip the sports drinks and use honey instead. Honey will give you an energy boost during your intense workouts. Honey can be used as a carbohydrate replacement during your workouts.

2. Keep your skin healthy. Instead of using a harsh face cleanser that is full of chemicals, use organic honey! A jar has SO many antimicrobial qualities that will keep your face clean and won't strip any of your oils or dry out your skin. If you don't want to make that much of a commitment, use it as a face scrub with a little bit of sugar mixed in! It will not only cleanse the skin, but help fight acne too! (the scrub is my favorite!)

3. Boost your insides. Honey is a great antioxidant that will boost your immunity. If you're already sick, an extra dose of honey can really help with sinus issues and coughs!

4. Help with digestion. Instead of taking any chalky tablets, try honey to help with digestion issues. It can also help with any acid reflux you're dealing with!

5. Treat cuts/burns. Honey can actually be used as a topical antibiotic. Everything from a burn to a scrape, apply a little bit of honey to the area and it should heal!

Do you have any favorite ways to use honey? Tell me in the comments below!
